Here's what you'll need

The role of Associate Electrical Engineer (professional level 4 in the Jacobs career framework) in the Energy & Power Infrastructure team is an exciting opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their career. You'll work across medium and high voltage design in the Infrastructure Power Solutions team, while helping Jacobs meet growing client demands in sustainable energy infrastructure. Here's a snapshot of the role below

  • Provide technical services to project teams and coordinating with Global Delivery Centres to support the delivery of design packages.
  • Deliver electrical engineering solutions in pump stations, traction power, Electric Vehicle transport, renewable generation, High Voltage connections and reticulation, earthing and bonding, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), substations and electrical protection systems.
  • Support the delivery of projects in sectors such as resources, industrial/processing, datacenters, power utilities, renewable power, water/wastewater, rail and defence.
  • Provide electrical engineering support through the life cycle of the project from inception through to design, construction and commissioning, with a focus on safety.
  • Be involved in a variety of activities including site visits, options analysis, power connection assessments, reticulation design, system studies, Low Voltage and High Voltage substation design, pump station sizing, cable calculations, electrical equipment specifications, safety in design workshops, protection grading and relay configurations, testing and commissioning witnessing.
  • Actively support the achievement of growth targets in sales and revenue through proposal development, client interaction, client relationships, strategy, interviews and presentations.
