The Role
In this role you would be working on projects within the infrastructure and commercial sectors, focusing on both temporary and permanent works. Performing structural analysis, design, and detailing of high-quality plans and documentation. Preparing technical reports and memorandums. Providing support to other members of the team during the completion of the project.

Responsibilities
- Conducting structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
- Working on projects within the infrastructure, residential and commercial sectors, focusing on both temporary and permanent works
- Carrying out calculations and structural analysis in accordance with guidelines, practice, Australian Standards, health and safety regulations and local authorities' regulations.
- Attending site and conducting inspections, ensuring client's demands are delivered.
- Preparing engineering reports, third party reviews and detailed drawings while meeting deadlines and goals of the design process.
- Establishing new connections with clients, negotiating project outcomes and preparing fee quotations.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior employees.
- Reporting to the Construction Engineering Director.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia.
- 5+ Years experience from a consulting background undertaking structural design.
- Being familiar with Australian Standards AS 1170, AS1720, AS3600 and AS4100.
- Experience in modelling structural components using Tekla TEDDS and Autodesk Robot is considered advantageous.
- 2+ years' local experience in structural analysis and design experience.
- Experience in the principles, practices, and procedures of engineering drafting using AutoCAD 2D is considered advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of Australian construction detailing.
- Ability to work independently to deliver own packages and work well within a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Permanent resident or eligible to work full-time in Australia.
- Able to travel to site for inspections (vehicle provided)
