Role description:
Due to continued growth that strengthens our existing market position, we are currently seeking a Technical Director – Rail Signalling.
Role accountabilities:
- Planning, directing, and coordinating projects by providing guidance on both management and technical issues
- To take a key role in mentoring and directing the signalling team, providing both leadership and technical guidance to team members, while developing the team to its full potential. This will include local and global excellence centers
- To develop and maintain signalling skillset and competencies across multiple operators and technologies
- Provide high quality engineering design and consultancy services to the rail industry in Australia
- Design verification, providing feedback and technical mentoring to other team members
- To promote effective and efficient bid management and delivery, through solid client relationships and in liaison with Commercial Manager and Client Relationship Director.

You are a technically capable with experience in signalling concept and detailed design projects and come to us with:
- Preferably 20+ years experience in railway signalling design across multiple operators and signalling technologies (conventional and in-cab)
- A proven track record in working on multidisciplinary rail projects, across the project lifecycle
- Recognised leader in rail signalling with well-established industry networks
- Membership of and actively engaging with key industry bodies would be an advantage;
- The ability to be proactive and creative in the resolution of technical problems
- Excellent communication, report writing and relationship building skills, both internally and externally and;
- CPEng/NER/RPEQ an advantage
