What To Expect
As an Operational Excellence and Data Analytics Intern for Tesla Energy & Charging Service (APAC), you’ll drive business success by generating actionable insights through data analysis, design and implementing automation solutions, and supporting the deployment and optimisation of internal applications and business processes.

Embedded in a dynamic team, you’ll leverage your data expertise to optimize processes, create dashboards, and automate workflows. This role offers autonomy to apply your skills daily, contributing to Tesla’s mission of sustainable energy in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a data "Swiss Army knife" who enjoys working on varied projects rather than specializing in one narrow area, and for whom no challenge is off limits.

What You'll Do

Develop, maintain and troubleshoot dashboards for APAC Operation (Energy & Charging) Service stakeholders.

Write SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple sources.

Conduct ad-hoc analysis and create custom Excel and business intelligence (BI) reports for urgent needs.

Support the launch and introduction of new internal (Energy & Charging Service) software solutions in APAC.

Support the launch and introduction of (Energy & Charging Service) processes in APAC.

Support application and process change management.

Build Python scripts using Pandas, Power Automate flows, and apps to automate business processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Identify and implement data-driven process improvements.

Ensure data accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.

What You'll Bring

Ability to attend full-time onsite at Tesla’s Melbourne office.

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics)

Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries with joins and window functions.

Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data modelling).

Experience building dashboards and interactive reports using data visualization and business intelligence tools.

Familiarity with Power Automate or similar tools.

Working knowledge of Python and Pandas for data manipulation.

Experience with API integration using Python’s requests library.

Experience with business operational data (order processing, logistics).

Knowledge of the energy industry or Tesla’s energy products is highly beneficial.
