The Opportunity

As our pipeline of work grows, we are seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Adelaide. Ideally, you will have experience in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines—particularly in the context of water utility projects. Previous tasks may include reviewing design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modelling, oversight of drafting, and preparing reports and specifications.

By building strong client relationships and demonstrating your understanding of their core business, you will provide solutions and service both on and off site. Experience working with or for water utilities or public water authorities will be highly regarded.

Your Ideal Skills And Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Experience working with water utilities or public water authorities is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Understanding of risk management and the ability to identify project and design-related risks.
  • Experience managing small to medium engineering design projects.
  • Commitment to working safely and within the company’s HSEQ systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for engaging with a broad range of audiences.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
