About The Role
This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintenance of payroll records, compliance with relevant legislation, and supporting the HR and Finance teams in managing compensation-related processes.
About You
You are a seasoned Payroll Officer who is able to adapt quickly to a new environment, you have a mature approach to your work and you enjoy a challenge. You have two years plus experience in end-to-end payroll processing and exposure to payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
You have a great working knowledge of payroll software systems (e.g. Payroll Metrics, UKG or similar) and are familiar with interpreting awards, EBAs, and employment contracts.
You pride yourself on your integrity and have proven yourself to be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Your impeccable attention to detail, high levels of accuracy and excellent organisational and time management skills will set you up to succeed in this role.
Most importantly, you possess strong communication and interpersonal skills - dealing with all levels of the business will be an integral part of this role.

Responsibilities
- Process and maintain the fortnightly end to end payroll function and ensure compliance with current awards, legislation, provisions, guidelines, contracts, policies & procedures
- Ensure payroll journals and reports are submitted to Finance in a timely manner
- Reconcile payroll ledgers and end-of-year payroll reports
- Ensure compliance with relevant workplace laws and audit requirements
- Process and administer superannuation payments, payroll tax and other payments and regulatory compliance requirements on schedule
- Perform payroll administration and maintain employee records including setting up new starters, terminations and payments, pay increases and back-pays
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the payroll functions and systems and ensure internal control procedures are met and comply with legislative requirements
