The Role

We are seeking a Senior Performance & Data Analyst for a 26-week temporary assignment. This role plays a vital part in driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and evidence-based decision-making at the corporate level.

You will bring a curious, analytical mindset and a strong understanding of data science, performance reporting, and public sector insight. You are confident presenting complex data in accessible formats, managing teams, and driving a performance culture.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Leading the submission of statutory data returns to central government
• Developing and streamlining performance reporting systems - with a focus on automation and self-service
• Using data science and engineering techniques to deliver predictive and prescriptive analytics
• Providing high-quality insight and early warning systems to support strategic decisions
• Supporting benchmarking, needs assessments, and continuous service improvement
• Leading and line managing analysts, engineers, and project-based contractors
  
  

Skills & Experience 

• Proven experience in performance analysis and data science in a complex organisation
• Strong data manipulation, visualisation, and reporting skills
• Ability to turn data into actionable insight that drives organisational change
• Experience managing staff or contractors within a data-focused function
• Highly analytical, inquisitive, and proactive mindset
