Job Summary
Our client is one of the largest Information and Communication Technology providers in Queensland, dedicated to supporting quality patient care through integrated digital solutions. They are currently seeking a Solution Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership in the design and delivery of end-to-end architecture for the Best Practice to My Health Record integration project.
The Solution Architect will ensure that digital solutions are robust, secure, interoperable, and aligned with the current digital health strategy. Working collaboratively with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders, the role will define architecture standards and integration patterns that support the seamless and compliant exchange of health information between the Best Practice clinical information system and the national My Health Record platform.

Requirements
- To be successful in this role you, you will need to demonstrate expertise in leading the development of solutions architecture for complex systems as well as your proven ability to evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major architectural solutions and assess associated risks and issues.
- Have demonstrated experience working in large complex ICT projects, including planning, preparing, managing technical project deliverables.
- High level of expertise and experience in the following technology domains to analyse, provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise ICT services in a large customer focus organisation:
- Knowledge of middleware platforms such as Active MQ, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures
- RESTful API Design and Integrations
- Healthcare Interoperability standards such as HL7 and CDA and FHIR protocols
- Experience with NASH for healthcare-specific identity and authentication management.
- Prior experience working on HIPS and knowledge of My Health Record system and associated legal and compliance requirements desirable
- Knowledge or experience with using Docker for containerising applications.
- High level expertise and experience with communicating and applying cloud principles and practises in terms of scalability, resiliency, security, cost, automation, and management and monitoring.
- Demonstrate your ability to provide sound advice and recommendations on the use of appropriate project and change management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
- Experience in technology design including integration of technologies and have specialist knowledge in one of the following architecture domains: Information/Application/Security, Infrastructure or Network
- Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in network architectures, client/server architectures and web architectures, and understanding of service delivery and support models and their impacts within a large and complex organisation.
Responsibilities
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven expertise in the development of solution architectures for complex systems inclusive of all architectural domains and ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both internal and external stakeholders (SFIA: ARCH - Solutions Architecture Level 6).
- Proven expertise in applying solution architecture principles, practices and processes within enterprise architecture, ICT investment and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities to identify, analyse and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements.
- Proven expertise in the use of project management methodologies to assist service providers in meeting deadlines and agreed outcomes.
- Ability to establish and influence positive, strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with key senior executive stakeholders and key decision makers both internal and external to Queensland Health (SFIA: RLMT - Stakeholder Relationship Management Level 6).
