Global Logistics is a team of highly experienced logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving the speed, cost and reliability of Amazon's cross-border logistics capabilities. Leveraging the capabilities of world-class logistics providers and internal Amazon supply chain solutions, Global Logistics Services increases selection and lowers costs for our customers. Reporting to the Global Logistics APAC Lead, Cross-Border Transportation Specialist Asia-Pacific (APAC), will manage the cross-border movement of cargo from source countries across the Globe to Amazon Facilities in APAC region (Singapore and Australia). In this role, you will partner with regional, internal, and external stakeholders to execute daily inbound operations and improvement activities/projects, driving speed, accuracy, and efficiency. You will be the main point of contact for 3P service providers and internal Amazon stakeholders pertaining to cross-border cargo movements. We are looking for a candidate that has expertise of cross-border freight movements, effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong ability to deep dive problems effectively. The specialist will serve as a hub for Global Logistics, Internal and External Stakeholders in terms of communication and performance management. They will help the 3P service providers and Amazon stakeholders identify and prevent errors, own, and resolve escalations relating to the cargo movement, and provide a consistent understanding of proper process for the cross-border cargo inbound processes.

Key job responsibilities
This role will include the following:
  • Manage Shipment Order-to-Arrival of Air/Ocean/Ground B2B import shipments from origin facilities across the Globe to Amazon Facilities in APAC.

About the team
Global Logistics (GL) is a dynamic team of seasoned logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers dedicated to enhancing Amazon's cross-border logistics. Our goal is to improve cost, speed, and reliability, enabling customers worldwide to access selections from any part of the globe. The APAC team manages import operations across countries: Australia (AU), Singapore (SG), Malaysia (MY), and China (CN) through comprehensive cross-border Business-to-Business programs.
We are seeking a Program Manager in Sydney, Australia to join us. This individual will be instrumental in refining the cost, speed, and quality of multiple sourced programs and managing Destination Operations. They will collaborate with Amazon stakeholders and third-party logistics (3PL) partners in and destination countries to develop capabilities, manage projects, and formulate and execute operational strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in cross-border freight movements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
