Context

We're seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director, Infrastructure Engineering to lead our operations in Queensland and New Zealand. Based in our Brisbane office, you will be the regional leader, driving strategic growth, ensuring project excellence, and fostering a high-performing team.

Missions/Main Duties

Responsibilities

As the Director, you will have comprehensive leadership and accountability for all Infrastructure Engineering activities across Queensland and New Zealand. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Regional leadership and accountability for all infrastructure engineering activities in Queensland and New Zealand.
  • Leadership and management of people as the key point of contact for Infrastructure Engineering in Queensland and New Zealand.
  • Ensuring the successful and high standard of delivery of SYSTRA projects in Queensland and New Zealand.
  • Leading business development and work-winning pursuits of Infrastructure Engineering projects in Queensland and New Zealand.
  • Contributing to corporate strategy, developing divisional plans and forecasts, and reporting on performance.
  • Overseeing divisional financial performance, managing project budgets, and mitigating commercial risks.

Profile/Skills

Role

You are a proven leader with a strong track record in infrastructure engineering consultancy. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees or specialised certifications (e.g., project management, business administration) are highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 12+ years of experience in consulting.
  • Chartered or equivalent professional status from institutions such as CPEng, RPEQ, or NER, demonstrating your expertise and adherence to industry standards.
  • Exceptional skills in people leadership, business development, project and portfolio management, and financial acumen.
  • A proactive approach to safety and quality, leading by example in all aspects of your work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and lead a high-performing team.
