This is a Permanent Full Time vacancy.
Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and passionate person to manage ministerial and parliamentary liaison functions for WA Country Health Service (WACHS).
The Senior Ministerial Liaison Officer is responsible for the efficient management and quality control of ministerial correspondence and briefings to ensure timely and high-quality responses. This is a critical position within the Office of the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officers and acts as the WACHS entry and exit point and conduit for the Department of Health’s Ministerial Liaison Unit. This role undertakes critical review of responses to ministerial requests for information, and edits ministerial information and responses, briefing notes and answers to parliamentary questions, along with providing leadership, advice, education and training regarding all matters relevant to ministerial and parliamentary correspondence. This includes regular review of related systems and processes.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience of ministerial and parliamentary processes and conventions in a busy and complex organisation, along with high-level written and verbal communication skills and highly developed organisation skills.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
