Xperate is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Legal Accounts Consultant/Trainer to join our global team. This role focuses on delivering expert training, consultation, and implementation support for legal accounting systems across law firms. You will also collaborate with our development team to scope and deliver bespoke software and integrations tailored to client needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in legal accounting who is passionate about technology, training, and client success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Consultation:
- Collaborate with law firms and legal tech vendors to understand their legal accounting requirements
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify opportunities for software implementation or bespoke development
- Advise clients on best practices in legal accounting and compliance
Solution Design & Specification:
- Scope and document custom software development requirements relating to legal accounting
- Translate accounting and operational needs into detailed functional and technical specifications
- Work closely with the development team to ensure solutions are aligned with client expectations
Software Implementation:
- Lead the implementation of legal accounting systems, including configuration, data migration, and testing
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional accounting standards and trust accounting rules
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications
Training & Support:
- Deliver tailored training sessions to accounts teams, fee earners, and support staff
- Create comprehensive training materials and user documentation
- Provide post-implementation support and ongoing consultancy to optimise system usage
Collaboration & Innovation:
- Stay current with legal accounting software trends and regulatory changes
- Liaise with the global Xperate team, to share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement
