Overall Mission
Support the Merchandise Team in the analysis, control, and optimization of merchandise deployment for Hermès Australia. Act as a key a commercial liaison, between the office and the boutiques.
Sales and Stock Reporting
- Consolidate and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic sales evolution reports across product categories
- Provide cyclical and ad hoc reporting of sales and stock performance, delivering real-time, business-critical information to the Merchandise Team and the broader group
- Coordinate and manage daily client orders and queries from boutiques (Store Managers, Operations Managers, BOH team). Owning the client order management process, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution, and exceptional client experience
- Assist the Merchandise team on stock forecasting needs for reorderable lines/categories, owning the ordering process and stock portfolio
- Support the Merchandise Team in optimizing stock balance via cyclical and ad hoc transfers between stores as well as globally
- Support the Merchandise Team on Pricing Management, Reporting and Template preparations for key moments such as Buying periods and Business Review meetings, Exceptional / Staff Sale preparation, and the circulation of inter-department communications initiated by the Merchandise Team
- Support the Merchandise Team in receiving and addressing daily merchandise related queries and problem solving for store teams and other departments
- Achieve the targets set during the annual appraisal / review
- Communication timelessness with internal stakeholders
- Achieve optimized stock efficiency for the subsidiary
- Contribute to the overall development of the Hermes House
- Demonstrates a strong interest in merchandise and emerging industry trends
- Possesses a strong analytical mindset, with a high degree of numeracy
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Fashion, Merchandising, or related field preferred. Prior experience as a Planning or Merchandise Assistant is favourable
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work well collaboratively with others, both within the Merchandise Team and other departments
- Technologically adept, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new retail and data reporting systems
- Functions effectively both autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and self-motivation
- Brings a highly organized and methodical approach to time and priority management
