Contracts Specialist provides assistance to the Contracts Supervisor for the contract management and contract administration functions of AG's service delivery and vendor engagement. Responsibilities include the process of systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximising financial and operational performance and minimising risk.
Responsibilities
- Write, negotiate, finalise and monitor the contracts of AG with external parties, like vendors and contractors and internal employees.
- Make sure that all parties follow and fulfil contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with acquisition and procurement professionals to establish contract terms and agreements with external parties.
- Help find and secure supplier and seller contracts.
- Evaluate bids and proposals.
- Oversee and approve negotiations of prices, deliverables, and timelines.
- Review regulations and industry standards to ensure their contract processes and policies are up to date.
- Research pricing to make sure to write competitive contracts that financially benefit AG
- Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments to existing contracts.
- Prepare and edit contracts between the company and potential clients.
- Handle breach of contract in a timely manner.
- Research regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with law.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.
- Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
