An exciting 12 month opportunity has come up with a NSW state government department who are looking for a PMO manager.

Responsibilities
As a PMO Manager to join our delivery-focused team. In this role, you’ll support effective program delivery through high-quality governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and assurance. Key responsibilities include:
- Program Governance: Design and manage frameworks, templates, and processes; coordinate governance forums; lead secretariat functions.
- Delivery Standards: Implement consistent methodologies and tools to support high-quality delivery.
- Risk & Issue Management: Maintain risk, issue, and dependency frameworks; ensure timely identification and escalation.
- Reporting & Insights: Develop accurate, data-driven reports and dashboards using PowerBI, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Tool Implementation: Identify and embed systems to support program management and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships, represent the PMO in meetings, and support communication to senior executives.
- Assurance & Quality Control: Support internal reviews, audits, and compliance activities to maintain high delivery standards.
- Change Control: Coordinate and manage change requests, ensuring impacts are assessed and communicated.
- Strategic Advice: Provide high-level insights and analysis to inform program leadership.
- Capability Uplift: Train and mentor colleagues to build program-wide capability in project governance and delivery.
- Benefits Oversight: Manage the benefits tracking and realisation framework.
- Program Support: Provide administrative and coordination support as required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a PMO Manager on large-scale, multi-year programs
- Deep understanding of program and project management methodologies
- High-level proficiency with PowerBI, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Experience implementing tools and processes to support complex project environments
- Government or public sector experience is beneficial, but not essential
