You will be the driving force behind our data strategy â shaping and executing how we create, manage and leverage data. About The Role
The Head of Data & Insights will lead a focussed, close-knit team who are passionately detail oriented. You will be the driving force behind our data strategy â shaping and executing how we create, manage and leverage data. Using the latest tools and tech, you’ll help us to turn data into one of our strongest assets, ensuring data initiatives are closely aligned with broader organisational strategies along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead in the development and execution of a dynamic data strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and Data Governance Framework, while tapping into advanced AI/ML to unlock the value of both structured and unstructured data.
- Bring our Data Governance Framework to life by incorporating the right policies, standards, tools and tracking systems. Define clear data metrics with a keen eye on quality and integrity across every system, so our data stays trusted, consistent and ready to drive confident decisions.
- Oversee the design and integration of scalable data platforms that empower both traditional BI and cutting-edge AI/ML insights, driving strategic decision-making and self-service access to data and analytics across the business.
- Inspire and grow a high-performing data and analytics team by mentoring, coaching, and championing professional development, helping your team to unlock their full potential.
- Create and implement data platforms and pipelines that seamlessly connect data across systems, creating a unified high-impact data ecosystem â all while championing a vibrant, data-driven culture across Health Partners.
You are a visionary and strategic thinker who is capable of creating and leading the impactful execution of data strategies with a high level of autonomy. You’ll also have:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in data and analytics leadership, with a thorough understanding of data governance, data architecture and analytics platforms.
- A track record of building and scaling powerful enterprise data capabilities, with a knack for turning complex data concepts into clear, compelling insights for any audience.
- You’re skilled in harnessing AI to boost data processes - leveraging machine learning and predictive analytics to unlock smarter, faster insights.
- Technical proficiency, with hands-on experience in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python/R, and Azure data services âyou can guide your team through the finer details of their practices, while maintaining strategic oversight to drive big-picture impact.
- Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (DAMA, DCAM, CPG 235, CPS 230) and experience within a related discipline in the health insurance industry and/or APRA-regulated industry is massive bonus!
