Base Salary $66,212- $73,085 (pro rata/this salary will be based on the part time hours you complete) p.a plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role
TAFE NSW is seeking a Technical Assistant – Automotive to work at our Orange Campus. The position is temporary part-time, part-year, you would be required to work Tuesday’s 8 hours per week over 41 weeks per year.
The role is responsible for providing support in the preparation of materials and equipment for educational delivery. In the role, you will ensure the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds with the teaching section.
The role involves offering support to the teaching staff in the delivery of assessment and training of practical tasks. As well as maintaining the tools and equipment utilised by the teaching section in accordance with Work, Health, and Safety requirements.
About You
Working in a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in assisting with the delivery of educational programs. Your trade qualifications, combined with your experience in a trade environment and deep knowledge of tools and equipment, are essential for success in this role
Your initiative to identify and organise resources required by students and staff will deliver service excellence. You will enjoy working in a performance driven team with strong values and integrity.
You are passionate about ensuring the servicing and cleaning of tools, machinery and equipment to provide students & staff with serviceable resources and be familiar with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
To be considered for this role you must meet all essential requirements listed below
- Trade qualifications appropriate to the role and trades area (Automotive).
- Demonstrated ability to service, clean, repair and safely operate workshop machinery.
- Demonstrated application of practical, administration and computer skills to support supply, stores, maintenance, warehouse related duties and record keeping or similar activities.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment, the following:
a) Drivers Licence
b) First Aid Certificate
c) Forklift Licence
d) Electrical Tag and Test Certificate
