About the Role

Our Graduate Registered Nurse Program is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our graduates.

We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.

We have four pathways for nursing graduates in 2026 including:

• General Nursing (12 months with 2 rotations)
• Pure Mental Health (12 months with 2 rotations)
• Blended Mental Health / Nursing (6 months) and General Nursing (6 months)
• Collaborative program with Alexandra District Health (ADH) (6 months at Eastern Health and 6 months as ADH)

5. 2 or 3 most recent placement appraisals depending on your preferred pathway (also known as "Clinical Assessment Tools", "ANSAT", or "placement feedback"). These placement appraisals are to be uploaded to the "Additional Documents" field:

• General nursing or ADH pathways: please upload 2 acute / sub-acute nursing appraisals (no community placements)
• Blended or pure mental health pathways: please upload 1 acute / sub-acute nursing appraisal AND 1 mental health appraisal (community placements accepted).
• If applying for both general and mental health pathways: please upload an additional third appraisal (e.g. 2 acute / sub-acute nursing appraisals AND 1 mental health appraisal (community placements accepted)).
• Only the summative pages are requested. Please ensure that the pages contain the placement location, placement type, dates, scoring, feedback, and assessor signature
