About The Role
At Origin Zero, we’re leading the charge in renewable energy solutions for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) projects across Australia. Our focus is the construction of solar installations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – helping businesses shift to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
We’re looking for a Customer Project Specialist to join our team and play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of our renewable construction projects. This is a permanent opportunity where you’ll support contract and project delivery, working closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking renewable energy projects across multiple sites.
- Maintain and update project documents like scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate site activities, meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Help monitor project progress and escalate issues when needed.
- Facilitate communication between sales, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Assist with permit submissions, compliance documentation, and contract deliverables.
- Help draft and manage contracts, ensuring smooth delivery and close-out.
You will be a proactive and organised team player who thrives in fast-paced environments. With some experience in commercial construction, you’re ready to take the next step in your project career — with a strong customer focus and attention to detail.
You’ll also bring:
- Some experience in commercial construction, particularly in project management, project delivery, project administration, project coordination, or contract administration.
- A valid driver’s licence – travel to project sites may be required.
- A White Card (Construction Industry Induction) is essential.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and construction terminology.
- Experience with platforms such as Procore or SAP (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with great time management and organisational skills.
- Formal qualifications in business, construction, or law are desirable.
