Your New Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships (SMP), the Senior Partnership Manager (SPM) is part of the Fund's Workplace Partnerships team which is focussed on net growth of profitable members and the delivery of services via the workplace.

The SPM will be expected to have an effective strategic plan across their portfolio of employer partners. You will have targets to exceed by using the group's methodologies in a manner always consistent with the Fund's values, this includes increasing density of members through business and/or stakeholder partnerships, retaining or achieving default status with businesses and facilitating the engagement and education of members through workplaces and associations with the objective of improving retention and member outcomes

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Manage a portfolio of the Fund's most valuable B2B and Stakeholder Partners, including leading Employer Superannuation Consultative Committees
  • Ensure engagement and strategic plans are appropriate and impactful in deepening and protecting relationships.
  • Strategic planning - Know your Client including high level, multi-point and robust relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the Partner and relevant leaders within AustralianSuper.
  • Understand your Partners, including structure, nature of workforce (including staff numbers, locations, human capital strategies/processes) and what is important to them and their organisation.
  • Work closely with regional/national team leadership in a subject matter expert capacity to drive key outcomes and behaviours in the team.
  • Provide assistance & direction to Partnership Managers (PM), particularly focusing on ensuring that the PM teams in the relevant State/s have a channel for interaction and feedback within the broader team.
  • Support the Business Development team in expanding the number of businesses coming to the Fund and optimise the number of joins at the time of onboarding.

What you'll need

  • High level relationship management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in a similar senior relationship role, within a financial services environment, with specific responsibility for managing relationships with senior executives including CEOs, CFOs and Boards of Directors, Stakeholder executive and officials.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of corporate superannuation, benefit design, insurance arrangements, and legislation .
  • Knowledge of fund administration, investment products and process, and asset transition.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed understanding of client education preferences and requirements.
  • Strong meeting preparation execution and follow up abilities.
  • Extensive experience in delivering presentations for a variety of client education requirements.
  • Sound understanding of the superannuation and pension system and products.
  • Ability to work autonomously, find solutions and make decisions.
  • RG146 accreditation
