We are currently seeking a Virtual Desktop Officer to provide key customer contact and communication functions enabling the team to achieve agreed service levels.


What will I be doing?

  • Provide remote and face to face technical support for Windows OS and mainstream enterprise applications
  • Work collaboratively with Level 3 engineering teams to resolve complex issues
  • Act as a technical SME for any Service Desk escalation
  • Ownership of Shift-Left process and provide technical support to junior analysts
  • Write knowledge and provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members
  • Proactively manage the Desktop support queue to ensure SLA compliance
  • Ensure that customer service levels are achieved or exceeded
  • Actively pursue Continuous Service Improvement


What skills will I need?

  • High level of expertise supporting Windows OS
  • Experience managing MS Azure and M365 environments
  • Proficient in managing MCM, including packaging
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL Change Management
  • Familiar with security best practice
  • Strong background in scripting and automation


What experience will I need?

  • Relevant Tertiary or Diploma qualifications and industry certifications are desirable
  • ITIL v4 certification highly desirable
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a desktop support role or junior systems administrator
  • Experience with Audio Visual solutions
  • A high level of understanding of Active Directory, Exchange and group policy, both on prem and cloud based
  • Manage customer expectations and drive incident and requests to resolution
  • Ability to deal with busy, high-pressured situations
