We are currently seeking a Virtual Desktop Officer to provide key customer contact and communication functions enabling the team to achieve agreed service levels.
What will I be doing?
- Provide remote and face to face technical support for Windows OS and mainstream enterprise applications
- Work collaboratively with Level 3 engineering teams to resolve complex issues
- Act as a technical SME for any Service Desk escalation
- Ownership of Shift-Left process and provide technical support to junior analysts
- Write knowledge and provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members
- Proactively manage the Desktop support queue to ensure SLA compliance
- Ensure that customer service levels are achieved or exceeded
- Actively pursue Continuous Service Improvement
What skills will I need?
- High level of expertise supporting Windows OS
- Experience managing MS Azure and M365 environments
- Proficient in managing MCM, including packaging
- Good working knowledge of ITIL Change Management
- Familiar with security best practice
- Strong background in scripting and automation
What experience will I need?
- Relevant Tertiary or Diploma qualifications and industry certifications are desirable
- ITIL v4 certification highly desirable
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a desktop support role or junior systems administrator
- Experience with Audio Visual solutions
- A high level of understanding of Active Directory, Exchange and group policy, both on prem and cloud based
- Manage customer expectations and drive incident and requests to resolution
- Ability to deal with busy, high-pressured situations
