About You:
- You are an experienced employment lawyer with specific experience in employee relations.
- You are familiar with safety law including disciplinary issues, termination of employment, complex staff complaints, industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining and grievance handling.
- You are experienced in advising on compliance with Work Health Safety laws and anti-discrimination matters.
- You are experienced dealing with employment regulators including the Fair Work Ombudsman and IR Commission.
- You have experience in relation to regulatory submissions, industrial updates, working on wage compliance, advising in relation to Enterprise Ag reements and Fair Work Act and experience advising in relation to record keeping obligations .
- You have the ability to provide technically sound legal advice in a solution-focused, timely, practical and effective manner.
- You have experience dealing with and providing legal support and advice across various workstreams.
- You have experience in the development and maintenance of templates and a legal advices databases.
- You have the ability to assist with the development and delivery of legal training programs and projects.
- You have a proactive and collaborative mindset and are willing to actively share knowledge and experience, contributing at team meetings, supervise legal interns and support specific team projects as required.
- You have the ability to provide advice in relation to accountabilities and compliance requirements under relevant laws, including in relation to regulators and a range of external stakeholders.
- You have excellent organisational and time management skills including accuracy and attention to detail.
- You have demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, managing multiple tasks and meeting competing deadlines.
- You have the ability to use judgement and initiative.
- You have a strong customer focus, a flexible and adaptable attitude and an ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have the ability to work autonomously and prioritise.
- You have the ability to hit the ground running and work closely with a fast paced team.
- You have a minimum of 8 years' experience.
- You have a current practising certificate.
- You have the right to live and work in Australia.
