About the role

We're looking for an exceptional NSW Sales Director to lead our state-based sales strategy and drive commercial outcomes across agency, independent agency, and direct advertiser revenue streams. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape Mamamia's commercial presence in NSW, foster key partnerships, and deliver integrated advertising solutions that create meaningful impact for our clients while advancing our purpose-driven mission. You'll lead a team of high-performing GSMs and Sales Managers, inspire cross-business collaboration, and represent Mamamia as a senior commercial leader in the market.


Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

  • Lead and inspire the NSW Sales team, setting clear performance expectations and driving a culture of accountability and results
  • Execute the national commercial strategy at state level, identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with senior agency leaders and client decision-makers across NSW
  • Guide the creation of best-in-class integrated media solutions that leverage Mamamia's unique editorial voice and content capabilities
  • Lead major pitches and negotiations, including escalation management
  • Oversee performance reporting, forecasting, and budget management for the NSW team
  • Recruit, retain, and develop top sales talent while fostering a culture of feedback and high performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy and Content teams to ensure solutions deliver exceptional client outcomes


Now, a bit about you

  • You bring 15+ years of experience in digital media sales with at least 7+ years leadership experience across multiple sales streams
  • You have demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and driving commercial results
  • You've established strong relationships across NSW media agencies and clients
  • You possess excellent pitch, negotiation, and communication skills
  • You think strategically and can identify market opportunities while driving innovation You excel at balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • You're passionate about creating meaningful partnerships that align with Mamamia's purpose-driven mission
