Overview
We are seeking three experienced Database Administrators to support our consulting client in the Government sector, delivering managed services in a secure and dynamic environment. The ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in either Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, or general SQL administration, and must hold an active NV1 Security Clearance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful government projects in a supportive and collaborative team. While Ballarat is the preferred location, candidates based in Melbourne or Canberra will also be considered.

Available Roles
- MS SQL Server DBA
- Administration, performance tuning, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Implement backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Monitor and optimize database performance and security
- Oracle DBA
- Manage Oracle database systems, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
- Perform routine patching, upgrades, tuning, and capacity planning
- Support data migration, automation scripts, and maintain database integrity
- General SQL DBA
- Support various SQL-based platforms in both production and development environments
- Implement database best practices and optimize query performance
- Work closely with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a DBA role specific to MS SQL, Oracle, or SQL environments
- Strong understanding of database security, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments in a government or regulated industry
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader support team
