System Engineer

We're seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic Operations team. In this role, you'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, while supporting level 1 Service Desk and ensuring timely resolution of service requests to keep our business running smoothly.

Role Summary

• Resolve complex support tickets by collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system, network, and software issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring performance.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security risks.
• Threat detection, policy configuration, alert monitoring, and reporting with actionable insights.
• Malware protection and secure VPN access, ensuring policy compliance.
• Design and manage scalable system architectures, integrating new technologies to meet evolving business needs.
• Deliver security awareness training, identifying risks and promoting secure practices.
• Manage Windows Update services for timely patching, reducing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance.
• Document and investigate security incidents, coordinating responses to maintain system integrity.
• Support Level 1 when required
• Investigate and resolve incidents & problems to restore service within the agreed SLA
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive them to implementation
• Ensuring constant customer satisfaction
• Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to internal teams on system usage, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Experience with Mentoring Level 1 staff
• Prove strong commitment to client-focused operations and working within a collaborative team environment
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages
• Experience in ITIL Service, Change, Event and Incident Management processes
