Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R – FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor at Iron Bridge CHF, this role is responsible for all aspects of maintenance functions within the operational process plant.

Key Responsibilities


  • Promote rigorous compliance with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis by ensuring all work is properly risk-assessed, with hazards effectively mitigated and controlled.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed on time and to a high standard of quality.
  • Conduct all required maintenance inspections and audits of the site and related facilities within designated timeframes.
  • Ensure maintenance plans are fully executed, with all tasks completed in a timely, satisfactory, and high-quality manner.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operational running of the processing plant.


Qualifications And Experience


  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter Turner
  • Minimum of 2 years’ site-based experience with fixed plant equipment
  • Proven experience maintaining filter belts and pumping assets
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP


Highly Regarded (Advantageous)


  • High Risk Work (HRW) Licence
  • Rigging certification
  • Dogging certification
  • Forklift and/or Telehandler licence
  • HR (Heavy Rigid) or CN (Crane) licence
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence
