The role:

Stryker is seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to support our cutting-edge clinical research. In this role, you'll manage and optimize clinical data from Stryker Sponsored and Collaborative studies—ensuring secure access, quality control, and valuable insights that drive product innovation and patient safety.

As part of the Clinical Research Team, you will bring strong data management understanding, becoming a subject-matter expert on the datasets you handle. Your work will contribute to various analytics projects, with opportunities to develop research skills and deliver meaningful insights that provide significant value to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain data assets from global clinical studies.

  • Ensure secure, compliant access to clinical data across teams.

  • Monitor data use and promote best practices in data management.

  • Support research proposal documentation and HCP committee submissions.

  • Contribute to study setup, site monitoring, and close-out processes.

  • Design case report forms (CRFs) and verify source data.

  • Assist in drafting contracts and governance documentation for IIS, SCS, and SIS studies.

  • Support database requirements, maintenance, and data entry.

  • Train clinical research associates (CRAs) on data collection processes.

  • Assist with data analysis, literature reviews, and clinical guidance.

  • Help develop scientific abstracts and presentations for conferences.

  • Maintain high data quality, ensure privacy compliance, and coordinate corrections as needed.

  • Collaborate on the development of SOPs, WIs, and eQMS documentation.

  • Identify system improvement opportunities and recommend integrated data solutions.

What You Bring

  • Strong interest or background in clinical data management and research operations.

  • Knowledge of clinical trial processes, data privacy regulations, and best practices in data governance.

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional teamwork.

Critical Requirements (eg: skills, experience, qualifications):

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, bioengineering or similar clinical or medical device related area, with a significant element of data management, data analysis and data presentation are essential.

  • A minimum of 3 months experience of clinical research or engineering internship.

  • A high level of both verbal and written communication skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to communicate within a team
