Technology Delivery Lead
NGM Group

- Bring Your Tech Experience to a Bigger Stage
- Be the glue that keeps things moving.
- Newcastle-based | 2–3 days WFH | Permanent & long-term contract roles
Purpose of the role
This role is all about bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to the way we get things done in Enterprise Services (ES). You’ll work closely with engineering teams, delivery leads and subject matter experts to help plan, prioritise, and deliver internal technology initiatives—ranging from day-to-day (BAU) improvements to strategic changes.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who’s been a senior engineer, tech lead or delivery-focused team member and wants to take the next step—expanding your influence beyond the code and into how tech delivery is shaped at scale.
What will your key responsibilities include?
- Connecting People and Projects: You’ll be the go-to person helping different teams stay aligned and moving—making sure timelines, tasks and dependencies are clear and realistic.
- Supporting Delivery: From sprint planning and standups to reporting and retros, you’ll help shape how we track progress and solve roadblocks.
- Being a Trusted Voice: You’ll partner with ES leaders and subject matter experts to understand what’s coming up, what’s changing, and where support is needed.
- Bringing a Tech Lens: You don’t need to be hands-on anymore—but your understanding of infrastructure, systems, and user tech helps you see what’s possible and where to focus.
- Championing Improvements: You’ll spot inefficiencies, encourage smarter ways of working, and help us stay current with what’s happening in tech—especially in financial services.
- Communicate with clarity: Prepare and present initiatives to key stakeholders—helping them understand the value, purpose, and outcomes to gain alignment and support.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in a technical or delivery-focused role—such as a senior engineer or tech lead—ideally within infrastructure, platforms, or user technology.
- A natural collaborator who enjoys bringing people together to get things done.
- Someone who understands delivery rhythms—sprints, schedules, standups—and knows how to keep things on track.
- A clear communicator who can translate detail into action and insight.
- Organised, curious, and confident in solving problems—even when there’s no playbook.
- Some knowledge of the financial services sector is great, but not essential.
