The Role
We are on the hunt for a visionary and commercially minded Head of eCommerce to lead the development and execution of digital-first strategies that drive profitable growth, elevate customer experience, and future-proof our omni-channel marketing approach.
Reporting to the General Manager of Marketing, this critical leadership role will shape and champion the digital roadmap for Total Tools, aligning innovation and performance with our strategic pillars. You will be responsible for spearheading scalable and sustainable digital initiatives that integrate seamlessly across marketing, e-commerce, technology, and store operations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and lead the digital strategy that transforms our omni-channel marketing approach, underpinned by modern martech, customer-first thinking, and strong commercial return.
- Challenge the status quo and influence change across the business to adopt scalable, efficient, and tech-led consumer solutions.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders—IT, loyalty, suppliers, digital agencies, and store owners—to ensure program milestones are met and growth targets exceeded.
- Drive digital and e-commerce performance, including revenue growth, conversion rates, customer experience, and user engagement.
- Develop a high-performing team of subject matter experts to deliver continuous improvement and exceptional results.
- Evaluate and align internal resources and external partners to deliver key program objectives with agility and speed.
- Collaborate closely with the IT and Marketing teams to ensure alignment between customer-facing technologies and brand experience.
- Provide clear, forward-looking reporting to key stakeholders on progress, ROI, and benefit realisation across digital initiatives.
- Manage online P&L inclusive of opex and capex budgets to support ongoing digital channel growth.
- Demonstrated strategic marketing expertise with a key focus on digital and omni-channel environments
- Proven technical understanding of web platforms and architecture
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Deep knowledge of digital marketing, CRM, and customer journey strategies
- Familiarity with platforms such as Magento, Adobe Commerce, Sitecore, Shopify
- Experience with marketing automation systems such as Emarsys, Salesforce, or Adobe
- 10+ years in digital marketing strategy and leadership, with an additional 5 years in general marketing
- Successful delivery of enterprise-wide digital transformation projects
- Experience working within franchised or independent retail networks (desirable)
- Demonstrated track record in managing digital agencies, project teams, and high-stakes deliverables
- Strong background in data analysis and turning insights into actionable strategy
- Degree qualified in Marketing, IT, or a related field
