Right at Home Central QLD is a leading provider of high-quality, person-centred care services including Aged Care, Disability Support, Transitional and Palliative Care, and Hospital-in-the-Home. We are proud to support individuals and families across the Wide Bay and Central Queensland regions with compassionate, respectful, and holistic care.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a committed and experienced Enrolled Nurse / Coordinator to join our team in Hervey Bay. This full-time position offers a diverse mix of community-based clinical work and office-based coordination responsibilities.

At Right at Home Central QLD, we place great importance on supporting our staff. You will work under the guidance and supervision of a Care Manager, with all duties performed in line with the scope of practice defined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments and build supportive, trust-based relationships with clients and their families.

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in clients’ homes, including wound care, medication administration (e.g. insulin), and chronic condition management.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation within Right at Home’s care management systems.

  • Provide guidance to care staff by interpreting relevant aged care, disability, and health sector policies and procedures.

  • Ensure services are delivered in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Contribute to staff development by promoting best practices and encouraging ongoing professional education.

  • Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards and ensure a safe working environment for all.

Qualifications


  • Enrolled Nurse (EN) with 1-2 years of experience in community nursing and current AHPRA registration.
  • Alternatively, a Certificate III or IV in Aged/Disability Care with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in aged care, disability, or mental health within a community setting.
  • Strong understanding of Aged Care and Disability Standards, as well as consumer-directed care principles.
  • Current First Aid, CPR certification, and National Police Check.
  • Working With Children (WWC) check or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance.

  • In-depth knowledge of home care services, industry guidelines, and best practices.
  • Proficient in wound care, catheter care, and PEG feeding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS services, policies, and guidelines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
