We work with our New Law business to develop differentiated services for our clients, whilst embedding digital as a competency for the whole firm through developing and enabling future-fit tools, capabilities and mindsets.
Ashurst Labs is the community within AAD responsible for the firm's experimentation environment, designing, developing and managing digital platforms, products and solutions, together with the curation, ownership and governance of platforms used by Ashurst Advance. It does this through the three disciplines of software development, product management, and data science.
This role is focused on the technical product management of client/internal facing platforms and solutions that have been developed to drive efficiencies in our business operations and legal service delivery. You will assist in defining vision and strategy, leading cross-functional teams, product development, management of product lifecycles, and measuring performance.
You will report directly to the Associate Director of Digital Products, based in London, and will work closely with the Ashurst Labs team that is spread across Australia and the UK. This role can sit in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in product development or management roles such as Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar positions, ideally in a law firm or adjacent industry.
- Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Demonstrable understanding of digital product development, agile processes and lifecycle management is key.
- Experience conducting market research, analysing data, and understanding customer needs. Ideally you will understand market dynamics, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and the role of digitisation within the legal sector.
- Experience leading or working with diverse teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, strategically and pragmatically. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
