About The Opportunity


As our Head of Technical Services, you will lead a high-performing team of technical presales and scripting specialists.


Reporting directly to the General Manager, APAC, you’ll play a critical role in delivering scalable, high-quality technical solutions to support Micromine’s ambitious growth plans.


This role is pivotal to our success, ensuring the delivery of exceptional technical demonstrations, software evaluations, proof-of-concept projects, and tender responses that align with client needs. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to provide visibility on deal flow tied to presales activity and support the Operations Manager in forecasting project resource requirements.


Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous improvement, helping us to scale technical services efficiently and effectively in a rapidly growing market.


  • Create and improve scalable internal processes and policies related to technical services delivery, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Mentor team members to build capability and drive professional growth.
  • Apply a structured and consistent presales methodology across all products.
  • Oversee and enable presales support to business development managers.
  • Guide the team in delivering tailored, high-impact software demonstrations and sales proposals.
  • Ensure technical demos align with customer needs and demonstrate business value.


About You


You will have a proven background in leading technical presales or solutions engineering teams within a high-growth technology environment, ideally in the mining or software sector. You are passionate about creating scalable, high-quality technical services that enable business growth.


Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:


  • Senior experience in a senior operational or presales leadership roles within a software or technology business.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of technical software presales processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve conversion rates through presales engagements.
  • Commercial understanding of product market segments and relevant sales/marketing methods.
  • Proven experience managing team leads and cross-functional teams in high-performance environments.
