ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The position will be involved in the supervision of asbestos remediation projects across Darwin and the Northern Territory.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of asbestos labourers.
• Efficient planning and co-ordination of asbestos removal work.
• Documenting / reviewing/maintaining paperwork including asbestos removal control plans (ARCP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), licenses, and tickets.
• Enforcing and demonstrating safe work practices in relation to asbestos.
• Ensuring that personnel is adequately trained and supported.
• Assisting Operations Manager with site operations.
• Participating in coordinating the lawful disposal of asbestos / hazardous material waste.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

• Relevant asbestos removal qualifications including Friable Asbestos Supervisor.
• Experience in Friable asbestos removal within enclosures.
• Proven ability to undertake the role of Supervisor, including planning and coordinating removal works.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take a hands-on approach on site.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks which may include reference checks, medical screening, and national police checks.
