ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The position will be involved in the supervision of asbestos remediation projects across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervision of asbestos labourers.
- Efficient planning and co-ordination of asbestos removal work.
- Documenting / reviewing/maintaining paperwork including asbestos removal control plans (ARCP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), licenses, and tickets.
- Enforcing and demonstrating safe work practices in relation to asbestos.
- Ensuring that personnel is adequately trained and supported.
- Assisting Operations Manager with site operations.
- Participating in coordinating the lawful disposal of asbestos / hazardous material waste.
ABOUT YOU
You will have:
- Relevant asbestos removal qualifications including Friable Asbestos Supervisor.
- Experience in Friable asbestos removal within enclosures.
- Proven ability to undertake the role of Supervisor, including planning and coordinating removal works.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take a hands-on approach on site.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks which may include reference checks, medical screening, and national police checks.
