Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Payroll team on a 12-month contract.
The role:
Nous has employing entities in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The Australian-based Nous Payroll team of five people works within the broader Finance team and has responsibility for processing payrolls in all countries, supported by external partners outside Australia.
Responsibilities will include:
- Efficient processing of payroll transactions for multiple entities, handling tasks such as new starters and terminations.
- Verifying data inflows to payroll systems
- Balancing and reconciling system outputs, including timesheets and leave
- Superannuation and PAYG processing
- Attending to personnel and payroll enquiries as necessary.
A bit about you:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll processing within a fast-paced corporate environment
- Previous experience with Sage People, MicrOpay and/or ADP payroll desirable
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to accurately assess when escalation is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
Flexibility:
- This is a 12-month fixed term contract full time role with a mix of working time in Nous' Melbourne office and working from home.
