Day rate DOE – $650 -800pd
A leading Government department is seeking a highly capable and hands-on Full Stack Developer to join their team during a busy and critical delivery phase.
About The Role
Working on the high-profile Utilities Compare platform and related applications, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing digital tools that help over a million Victorians compare offers and reduce their bills. The existing team is in need of an experienced Full stack developer to hit the ground running and provide immediate hands-on support.

Must-Have Technical Skills
- PHP (Laravel) – strong back-end development skills essential
- Angular – solid experience with front-end development
- MySQL – proven ability to work with complex databases
- Experience working within Linux environments
- Ability to quickly grasp existing systems and contribute effectively
- Contribute to new feature development and maintain existing functionality
- Support system operations, bug fixes, and deployments
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality, consumer-facing digital services
- Ensure the platform remains stable, secure and easy to use during peak periods
- A hands-on developer who thrives in busy, fast-moving environments
- Proven experience delivering full stack development in PHP/Laravel and Angular
- Confident in contributing ideas and working autonomously when required
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and MySQL databases
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
- Experience in government or Utilities/Comparison projects highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related field desirable
