About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead our emergency response team and coordination efforts. As the Assistant Director Emergency Coordination, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our primary industries and communities from biosecurity threats and natural disasters.
In this role, you will provide strategic advice and leadership in emergency management, developing and implementing state-level emergency response plans. Your efforts will ensure seamless communication and resource deployment during crises. Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders will be essential to enhance our emergency management capabilities.

We are looking for individuals with:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and manage a team effectively to deliver key outcomes
- Proven ability to oversee and manage emergency responses, including resource allocation and timeline management
- Analytical skills to assess situations and develop informed solutions
- In-depth knowledge of the WA State Emergency Framework
