Business Unit Overview

The Corporate Development & Smart Communities Team will further enable our three customer facing segments (Consumer, Business and Wholesale) to continue to win in the marketplace. At a high level, Corporate Development & Smart Communities will focus on:

  • Accelerating our growth through M&A and integrating the new capabilities that we gain.
  • Strengthening our standing as a leading network infrastructure provider with Smart Communities.
  • Integrating our newly acquired Uecomm network and expanding our broader fibre and wireless build initiatives.

Role Purpose

As Project Manager for Corporate Development and Smart Communities, you will be accountable for leading end-to-end delivery of strategic and high-value projects. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will drive project governance, coordinate virtual teams, and ensure that all contractual and operational objectives are met. This role demands deep expertise in project and construction management, stakeholder engagement, commercial contract execution, and virtual leadership.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that Superloop delivers on its commitments to customers, manages risks effectively, and maintains momentum through construction and delivery phases. Your ability to manage complex projects, align delivery models to business outcomes, and lead contractor engagement will be central to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain proactive and ongoing communication with clients and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates on project status, including budget and schedule tracking, and promptly address any emerging issues.
  • Lead the end-to-end project delivery process by accurately scoping, budgeting, documenting, and communicating all project details to relevant teams.
  • Ensure project documentation handover and conduct training sessions for internal teams, clients, and end-users, covering risk management, support and status reporting.
  • Coordinate and schedule operations, resources, and contractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage the procurement and availability of internet connections, materials, equipment, and development resources to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to support best practices in product deployment, including effective contractor management and quality assurance.
  • Assist with related pre-sales processes including bills of materials, design documentation, and quotes, while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Verify accuracy of billing and invoicing upon project completion to ensure smooth financial closeout.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive communication plan to deliver regular progress updates and status reports to all relevant parties.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the project and upon completion, followed by a review to identify key learnings and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing complex projects with budgets up to $10 million.
  • Proven ability to engage with executive stakeholders, delivering high-impact program briefings and reports tailored to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to deliver customer-focused projects with strong stakeholder engagement and commercial accountability.
  • Experience deploying large-scale Wi-Fi, FTTP, FTTB, or fibre technologies, with solid knowledge of networking and cabling, especially for installation scoping and upgrades.
  • Ability to obtain required clearances and certifications, including Working with Children Check/Blue Card, WH&S compliance (such as vaccinations, white card), and any other necessary licenses.
