Gridsight is a rapidly growing Grid/CleanTech startup on a mission to accelerate global electrification and decarbonisation. We are building a vertical SaaS platform for electricity utilities, enabling them to modernise grid operations and unlock transformational capabilities such as dynamic operating envelopes and flexible interconnections. Having recently raised our Series A funding from Airtree Ventures, Energy Transition Ventures and Area VC, we are poised for rapid growth and are seeking talented individuals to join us on our mission.
As a Senior Product Data Engineer at Gridsight, you’ll be working on our core data platform, supporting analytics engineers, data scientists, and our application software engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Data Engineer at Gridsight, you’ll be working on our core data platform, supporting analytics engineers, data scientists, and our application software engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement orchestration solutions using Dagster and dbt.
- Build and evolve core data pipeline capabilities in Python or Go, deploying to AWS infrastructure.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, and efficiency across the data stack.
- Enable analytics engineers by streamlining DataOps and tooling.
- Proven experience with Python and/or Golang in a production environment.
- Deep understanding of orchestration tools and modern data workflow best practices (Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect).
- Experience with dbt
- Deep understanding of Spark (Databricks preferred)
- Strong AWS cloud engineering skills (Lambda, EC2, S3).
- Experience working with Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms (CircleCI preferred).
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks with defined goals but flexible technical implementation.
