As a Senior Solutions Sales Executive focused on the Public Sector, you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of SAP SuccessFactors Human Capital Management (HCM) Suite across key government accounts in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. This role is critical in helping public sector organisations modernise their HR and workforce management systems, align with government digital transformation strategies, and improve citizen services through employee experience innovation.
You will own and grow a defined portfolio of state government departments and agencies, leading the end-to-end sales cycle from demand generation to contract negotiation. Your success will be defined by your ability to navigate procurement processes, build trust with executive stakeholders (particularly CHRO, CIO, and CFO), and deliver both net-new and expansion business.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory strategy across Victorian, South Australian, and Tasmanian Government entities, focusing on HCM transformation initiatives aligned with public sector priorities.
- Own the full sales cycle of SAP SuccessFactors opportunities – from pipeline generation, business case development, and stakeholder engagement, through to negotiation and closing.
- Engage in strategic account planning with SAP virtual account teams, partners, and industry experts to align on long-term goals and multi-year roadmaps for named accounts.
- Guide procurement engagement, navigating government buying frameworks, tendering processes (e.g., VGPB, SA Tenders, TasGov Tenders), and compliance regulations.
- Educate stakeholders on the business value and alignment of SAP’s HCM Suite, including workforce planning, core HR, payroll, talent management, learning and more.
- Maintain and grow strategic relationships with existing customers, ensuring successful renewals and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Represent SAP at relevant public sector events, industry forums, and digital transformation roundtables
- Proven track record of enterprise software or SaaS sales success, preferably within HCM, ERP, or cloud-based business solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with or selling into government or public sector clients, with understanding of the strategic, regulatory, and budgetary landscape.
- Previous success working with CHROs, CIOs, CFOs, and HR transformation leaders in complex organisations.
- Strong familiarity with SuccessFactors or comparable HCM platforms is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of public sector transformation trends and workforce modernisation challenges.
- Skilled at creating tailored value propositions and ROI-driven business cases for public stakeholders.
- Ability to manage long and complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers and procurement steps
