Join a team that's All Kinds of Useful

At Origin, being useful is more than a tagline - it’s how we approach work every day. As a collective, we’re a team that thrives on finding better ways, working together, and owning our impact. From powering homes to delivering award-winning internet and helping to lead Australia’s energy transition. If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.

About the role

At Origin, our People & Culture team is more than a support function — we’re strategic partners helping power the future. We are looking for a dynamic Time & Attendance Analyst to help shape and improve the way we manage time, rosters, and workforce compliance across the business.

This is not your average analyst job. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient Time & Attendance (T&A) processes across Origin. You’ll work with P&C teams, operational leaders, IT and frontline employees, transforming data into insights, systems into solutions, and complexity into clarity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Optimise time and attendance systems to enhance pay accuracy and reduce risk
  • Collaborate on roster management and compliance initiatives
  • Lead data-driven process improvements and deliver training across business units
  • Guide key stakeholders through best-practice timekeeping and workforce processes
  • Support UAT and IT solution delivery with clearly defined system requirements

What will you bring?

The ideal candidate will be curious, solutions-focused, and collaborative, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. With a background in workforce planning, rostering, payroll or HR systems. You will also demonstrate:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Time & Attendance or workforce planning role
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, IT or a related field
  • A strong analytical mindset and excellent decision-making skills
  • Confidence using Excel and PowerBI for reporting and insights
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, Workforce Solutions, or Alvaria (a big plus!)
  • Natural collaborator with great communication and relationship-building skills

So why join us?

  • 20 weeks of paid leave for primary carers with flexible return options.
  • Thrive in a culture of personal and professional growth.
  • Enjoy a central CBD location with access to parking and public transport.
  • Purchase up to four additional weeks of leave annually.
  • Engage in opportunities through the Origin Foundation to support your community.
  • Powering your career with unbeatable perks - Get discounted electricity, gas, and internet as an Origin employee.
  • Explore unique and cost-effective employee EV Car subscriptions.
