/ Create Systems, Influence Culture & Build Workflows
The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is the state’s leading screen authority and investment body, empowering world-class South Australian screen production and connecting South Australian voices, stories, artistry and identity to global audiences. A statutory authority, funded by the State Government and with an independent Board, the SAFC plays a vital role in the development, growth and promotion of the state’s screen production sector, and championing its cultural, creative and economic potential. This newly created role of Head of Corporate reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is a critical member of the executive team, driving effective governance, performance and stakeholder alignment across a broad corporate portfolio.
Responsible for running the business operations of the SAFC, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of corporate services including governance frameworks, legal oversight, risk and compliance, WHS, HR, procurement, IT systems and stakeholder reporting. The role plays a pivotal part in enabling the SAFC’s strategic plan by ensuring operational agility and resilience, public sector alignment and effective engagement with the SAFC Board and South Australian Government. You will oversee all corporate planning and reporting, lead cross-agency partnerships and advise the CEO and Board on legislative compliance, policy development and risk management.
A generalist leader with broad experience across governance or corporate services, you will bring a strong understanding of building processes and workflows with a compliance and accountability mindset. With previous experience working in state or local government or adjacent regulated industries, you will have public sector knowledge (or similar), with the ability to drive results through complex structures and business reporting requirements. Commercially astute with excellent judgement and leadership skills, you will be a trusted advisor, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to building a culture of agility, trust and performance.
This is a unique greenfield opportunity to shape the future of governance and corporate operations within South Australia's thriving and dynamic screen industry. If you’re enterprising, resilient and ready to bring your spark to a role with real influence, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
