We have a very exciting opportunity for a person to join us in a full-time Customer Service Officer role, working in our Moonah office with our Supplies team.

The Customer Service Officer – Supplies will be front of house in our commercial premises. They include our retail First Aid Supply outlets, ‘Scooters & Mobility’ and kit servicing vans. You will help customers to find the most suitable products for their needs, highlighting the value and benefits to assist with easy decision making and solutions tailored to their needs. You will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of goods and services for our clients.

Key duties will focus on First Aid Kit Servicing and Inventory Management while also providing support across the Supplies team, including Retail Customer Service and Customer Scheduling.

Key deliverables

The Customer Service Officer (CSO) will deliver on the following key result areas:

  • Be a team player, working closely with other team members to provide a responsive, positive and focussed customer experience to deliver outcomes in line with the St John Tasmania’s objectives and priorities across our three Supplies teams.
  • Develop and continually grow your knowledge of first aid supplies and scooter & mobility products to best assist our clients to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with customers to grow our brand and our customer base.
  • Participate in our organisational programs and processes that contribute towards a positive client experience and results focused workplace culture.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by complying with relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice and policies and procedures.

The CSO is expected to work collaboratively as part of a small team, in the provision of day-to-day customer service, inventory management, visual merchandising, and maintaining and growing our valued customer base.

The CSO will be confident in speaking with customers face-to-face and over the phone and provide individual solutions for our customers. They will have good attention to detail, proactively solve problems & have strong WH&S awareness including manual handling skills.

St John Tasmania prioritises the safety and well-being of all individuals. A satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Employee/NDIS) is an essential requirement for working with St John.

Essential Requirements

  • A current National Police Check (less than 6 months old) and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration will be required in order to work with St John Tasmania.
  • A current Australian Driver's licence.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience and achievement in similar customer service roles.
  • Knowledge or experience of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • Experience in delivery or warehouse logistics.
  • Background or experience with Customer Service in industries such as pharmacy, aged care, disability services or health industries.
  • Experience and understanding of safe manual handling practices.
