Senior Business Analyst Finance

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a strong finance background and a passion for driving transformational change? We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Finance to play a pivotal role in a large-scale IT/Digital Transformation program. This exciting opportunity will have you bridging the gap between business and technology, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring system configurations align with organizational needs.

As a Senior Business Analyst on this program, you will:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Bring your deep functional expertise in finance toolsets, supporting the configuration and implementation of ERP finance modules.
• Support the implementation partner by ensuring ERP configurations meet business requirements.
• Lead solution testing activities, including user acceptance testing, to validate that solutions are built as per agreed design.
• Assist the training team with delivery to end-users and provide ongoing support to resolve issues.
• Contribute to the data migration strategy, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.
• Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and utilize Agile practices such as user stories and sprint cycles to drive progress.
• Analyse finance processes, systems, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Liaise with vendors and delivery teams to maintain alignment between technical and functional requirements.
• Ensure all system implementations comply with relevant regulatory and organizational policies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive business process documentation.
  
  

To be successful in this position you will be a highly experienced Business Analyst who has come from a Financial background.

You Will Also Have Solid Experience In The Following

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in end-to-end SDLC implementations of finance ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of finance functions, ideally within the education sector.
• Strong understanding of ERP modules including Financials, Procurement, Invoicing, and Billing.
• Experience working with cloud-based ERP solutions and modern delivery methodologies.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies including user stories, backlog management, and sprint planning.
• Exceptional documentation skills, familiar with producing project lifecycle artifacts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.
