About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Operational Readiness Interface Lead to act as a key conduit between Queensland Rail’s Portfolio Operational Readiness team and the broader business.

This role is not “change management” - it’s about ensuring operational outcomes are embedded and sustainable. You’ll play an important role in ensuring operational readiness across our capital and operational projects, helping to successfully embed new systems, processes and ways of working.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Operational Readiness framework, tools and processes across multiple projects and business units.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities with respect to the Enterprise Operational Readiness framework and associated tools and templates.
  • Educate, coach and support stakeholders in operational readiness practices.
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations that support operational success and decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across project teams, operations, and executive stakeholders to ensure business units are engaged and aligned with readiness activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in operational readiness, particularly in complex infrastructure or rail environments.
  • High-level understanding of how operational readiness drives business outcomes and why it’s critical to successful project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading or mentoring others.
  • Engineering background or experience in technical/rail contexts is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on operational impacts and risk identification.

Remuneration & Employment Type

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane CBD. The role offers a starting salary of $151,359 plus 12.75% superannuation, along with hybrid work options to support a healthy work-life balance.
