Salary:

  • Senior Planning Officer
    • $106,999.38 to $112,630.07 pro rata per annum, plus superannuation
  • Planning Officer
    • $96,731.43 to $101,823.62 pro rata per annum, plus superannuation

Senior Planning Officer

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the assessment of complex development and subdivision applications
  • Represent the City at SAT, DAP, and other forums
  • Supervise and mentor Planning Officers
  • Provide expert planning advice and contribute to policy development

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning
  • Extensive experience in statutory planning and leadership
  • Strong understanding of WA planning legislation
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills

Planning Officer

What you’ll do:

  • Respond to planning enquiries and provide pre-lodgement advice
  • Assess development and subdivision applications
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare reports
  • Investigate compliance matters and provide statutory planning advice

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of statutory planning in a local government context
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Local Government experience and current driver’s licence required
