What are we looking for?

Our Perth office is now seeking a Lawyer (1-3 PAE) to be part of their well respected and growing Workers’ Compensation (WC) team. This is a full time contract position (approximately 12+ months).

This role presents a rare opportunity for a proactive, passionate and results driven Lawyer who has specialised in Personal Injury Law to work with one of our Firm’s most experienced and respected practice groups which will see you managing your own files and support team.

Our Lawyers in the Workers Compensation team, understand that suffering a workplace injury, can present major hurdles to overcome. They support our clients every step of the way with care, understanding, flexibility and support. Our clients can be entitled to a range of benefits and compensation under the Workers Compensation Scheme. Our Lawyers take care of the legal needs, so our clients can take care of their recovery.

In addition to taking on a wide range of challenging legal matters within a dynamic practice group, this role will also see you manage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiating and building new networks.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Day to day management of a file load
  • Provide clear, practical and concise legal and commercial advice
  • Providing a tailored approach to clients to understand the context of their matter
  • Identifying practical and innovative solutions for clients
  • Continually exploring new opportunities for your practice and developing new business
  • Forging and building strong client relationships

What will you bring?

Our successful candidate will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who possesses the following

  • Ideally 1-3 years Post Admission Experience;
  • Previous experience and a passion for Personal Injury law
  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively and compassionately;
  • Experience in running files end to end
  • Demonstrated skills in effective network and relationship management
  • Ability to exercise judgement and resolve problems quickly
