As our highly valued Safety Health and Wellbeing Advisor based in Brisbane your role will be to support Great Southern Bank's team members stay safe at work and be at their best to perform in their role to Help all Australians Own their Own Home. You will achieve this by applying a safety risk lense to everything you do – identifying risks, consulting with others and taking actions to manage and mitigate the risk.
This role can be done at either a full-time or part-time capacity. The part-time hours would be performed over 4 days at 7.5 hours per day.

You’ll make an impact by:
- Coordinating injury and illness physical and mental health case management
- Engaging in incident management & support
- Assisting in operationalising changes to SHW Legislation
- Build capability in SHW topics in our teams
- Engage in hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control activities
- Executing wellbeing and safety campaigns
- Undertake inspections, risk assessments & audits
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Min 3+ years’ experience in SHW environment
- Experience in proactively managing physical and mental health injuries and supporting recovery
- Experience in identifying hazards and risks (physical & psychosocial) with a solution focus
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Mental Health First Aid qualified (desirable)
- Cert IV Work Health & Safety (highly desirable)
- Qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Risk Management, Psychology (desirable)
