The role
The Bid Manager is a key role within the APAC Growth team and is responsible for the successful submission of bids and ensuring compliance with the Business Development process that supports the sourcing, bidding and winning of new contracts and projects. You will work closely with our Geographical Leads on bids and manage different bid teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities Include
You will have previously worked in a Bid Manager role within a consulting or project management environment. Ideally, you will have DFAT bid writing experience, or experience in bid writing from other donor organisations such as FCDO or USAID.

The role
The Bid Manager is a key role within the APAC Growth team and is responsible for the successful submission of bids and ensuring compliance with the Business Development process that supports the sourcing, bidding and winning of new contracts and projects. You will work closely with our Geographical Leads on bids and manage different bid teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Using the APAC BD Process Manual to ensure bid team compliance with Palladium BD processes.
- Providing leadership to keep bids on track, ensure robust strategy and ensure the right team is engaged to ensure we can win.
- Coordinating and leading bid team meetings and bid development scheduling.
- Working with Geographical Leads to translate capture planning into bid development and ensuring the bid is delivered on time, on budget and to high quality.
- Working with the bid team to finalise bid commercials and pricing strategies.
- Working with the bid team to draft all partner and consultant agreements.
- Providing and coordinating written contributions into the bid drafts.
- Managing the review processes and ensuring that the reviewers feedback is adequately collated and responded to.
- Providing input into the ongoing improvement of BD processes and collaboration across the business with the centralised BD function.
- Adopting and being a role model to the bid team on BD processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in BD quality.
You will have previously worked in a Bid Manager role within a consulting or project management environment. Ideally, you will have DFAT bid writing experience, or experience in bid writing from other donor organisations such as FCDO or USAID.
Additional Key Requirements Include
- Project management / process management background.
- People management and coaching experience; able to create bid teams, manage the team, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
