Uniting is currently seeking interested and qualified candidates to join our talent pool of qualified candidates as a Therapeutic Practitioner located in Cabramatta NSW. We are seeking candidates who are available to work full-time. Starting base annual salary of $91,297 to $96,882 negotiable based on experience, plus super and access to generous salary packaging options!

About The Opportunity
As a Therapeutic Practitioner, you’ll deliver in-home family casework services using the Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) model. You’ll work with families referred by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to address issues of physical abuse and neglect, supporting children aged 0-17 years at risk of further harm.

About The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical treatment and family casework using FFT-CW principles.
- Assess family needs, strengths, and risks to create child-focused treatment plans.
- Conduct sessions in family homes and flexible locations, including evenings as needed.
- Work closely with DCJ and community partners to ensure positive outcomes for families.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and participate in model training and supervision.
- Actively contribute to a cohesive, high-performing team environment.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and driven to create lasting change.
Essential Criteria
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of child protection, family systems, and cognitive-behavioural therapy.
- Ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds and address child safety concerns.
- Experience conducting strengths-based family assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Current NSW Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and a valid driver’s license.
