The Role
As a Trainee Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to learn the ins and outs of running a high-performing retail store. From team leadership and operations to merchandising, compliance and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
You’ll be part of our structured Trainee Store Manager Program, which combines on-the-job coaching with off-the-floor development, tailored to your pace and experience. This is a stepping-stone to bigger opportunities within Harris Farm, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

As a Trainee Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to learn the ins and outs of running a high-performing retail store. From team leadership and operations to merchandising, compliance and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, including rosters, team performance, and store presentation.
- Lead by example, championing our values and creating a positive, inclusive team culture.
- Maintain high standards across merchandising, stock control, food safety and compliance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and help your team do the same.
- Contribute to sales performance by helping drive store KPIs (NPS, eNPS, wage targets, shrink/margin).
- Take ownership of store standards, from cleanliness and ticketing to uniform and product quality.
- Play a key role in staff onboarding, development planning, and team engagement.
- Support the execution of in-store events and seasonal campaigns.
- You bring previous retail or supervisory experience and a passion for stepping up.
- You’re confident, proactive and people-focused, a natural motivator and communicator.
- You’re hands-on, reliable, and ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.
- You care about doing things well, from food quality to compliance, you don’t cut corners.
